This program helps students with disabilities navigate the process of obtaining a driver's license, including information on adaptive driving equipment, specialized testing accommodations, and available resources.

In accordance with Texas Education Code §29.0112, Divide ISD is required to provide families with access to the Texas Transition and Employment Guide. This guide provides information on statewide services and programs that assist students enrolled in special education programs and their parents in planning for life after the public school system.
The guide is available for download in multiple languages at the link below. The Texas Transition and Employment Guide was updated in 2025.
In accordance with state law, Divide ISD will provide written information about this guide at the first ARD/IEP committee meeting at which transition is discussed, including after any guide updates. A printed copy is available upon request.

Divide ISD annually notifies parents of students regarding their rights under the following federal laws:
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act): Parents have the right to inspect and review their child's education records, request amendment of records, and consent to disclosure of personally identifiable information. To file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by Divide ISD to comply with FERPA, contact: Family Policy Compliance Office, U.S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Ave SW, Washington DC 20202.
PPRA (Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment): Parents have the right to be notified and opt their child out of certain school activities including surveys that collect personal information, physical examinations, and collection of information for marketing purposes.
