DOCUMENTS NEEDED:

• Child's birth certificate

• Up-to-date immunization records

• Proof of residency (utility bill, lease, or affidavit)

• Custody/guardianship documents if applicable

PRE-K ELIGIBILITY (PreK3 and PreK4):

Your child may qualify if they meet one or more of these criteria:

• Family income meets National School Lunch Program guidelines

• Child is an English learner

• Child is or has been homeless or in foster care

• Parent/guardian is on active military duty

• Child has a disability (contact us at age 3 to begin SpEd evaluation)

TRANSFER STUDENTS:

Out-of-district transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact the Superintendent's office at (830) 640-3322.

SPECIAL EDUCATION ENROLLMENT:

Children with disabilities ages 3–21 may be eligible for services regardless of enrollment status. Contact us to begin the Child Find process.

ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS:

Texas law (Texas Education Code, Chapter 25) requires students ages 6-18 to attend school regularly, with limited statutory exceptions. Regular attendance is directly tied to academic success and, for older students, to course credit. Parents/guardians should notify the school office at (830) 640-3322 as soon as possible when a child will be absent and provide a note explaining the absence. Excessive unexcused absences may result in a truancy referral as required by state law.
